Oooo…shiny!

Just installed a new plug-in, IMM-Glossary, which lets you create fancy, DHTM/Java hover-boxes containing custom definitions for potentially unfamiliar words (or unfamiliar applications of words) that you use in your blog.

Since I tend to use some, shall we say, unorthodox vocabulary on this blog (enough so that I set up my own glossary page), this is just…well…cool.

It works like this: When you see a word with a dotted underline, you can hover over it and the definition will pop up. I have it set so that it only links the first instance of a word within a particular post, so it doesn’t get too annoying.

Let me know if it FUBARS anyone’s viewing experience. I’m not taking down the glossary until I see if it works (although the plug-in automatically creates one of it’s own, which is why folks who are reading this around the time it’s posted will see two separate listings for glossary pages). If the hover thingy causes problems, I can always set it to simply link to a definitions page or a pop-up window.

Like I said…shiny!
